1. One of my goals for this semester is to finish as much work as possible to be able to finish school by the end of this year ive been slacking a little bit to much so now with the accomplishment of passing my CAHSEE test both Math and English on my first try its made me really proud of myself and it has also motivated me to do my best and get my high school diploma instead of the GED.

2. Finding a job is one of my main personal goals . My plan is to start a resume and go out applying at different places such as clothing stores , shoe stores , anything that is not a fast food place , ive worked in several fast food places and i have not liked any of them. I feel that if i put all my effort into looking for a job i can find myself working at a nice and descent place with a good work environment that i can actually enjoy.

3. Another very important goal for the next three months is to rent my own place for my baby and i. I had been renting a place with a friend but that didnt work out as well as i thought it would. I feel that living out on my own would be hard but not impossible and it will make things way easier for me and my son.

I think that Mammals shouldn't be kept in captivity. The reasons why are because,Mammals need to be in their natural habitat so they can bond with their families and learn to protect eachother from any other dangerous mammals in the ocean. Mammals shouldn't be kept in captivity because the human interaction in captivity increases the risk of transmitting diseases to the animals.Mammals perform tricks that can be dangerous to us humans and are out of their natural life in the ocean. The best way to learn about these mammals is observe them in their natural habitat instead of learning about them in captivity because they can become dangerous to humans when they interact with eachother.I think dolphins are being in an inhumane way. The reason why is because Dolphins are use to hunting for their food in the ocean and they are loosing their predatory sence. They are in a small tank, wich means that they don't have much freedom to swim around. These dolphins are being fed fast food like french fries, chips, and food that is not supposed to be fed to animals and it can cause instential injuries, poisoning and they can even die for eating that type of foods.I believe that animals should not be held in captivity at all.

I am young and gifted

I wonder who my son is going to be 18 years from now

I hear motivating voices encouraging to do my best

I see struggles coming towards me

I want to be strong enough to go through it all

I am young and gifted

I pretend to be happy and smile to the world

I feel the pain inside

I touch and hold my son tight

I worry that one day he's going to let go

I cry when i can't find a way out of all the stress

I am young and gifted

I understand life will never be a fairy tale

I dream about a happy life with my son the love of my life and the reason i smile

I try to be a good mommy and i know i've done my best

I hope to be the best to my son no matter how bumpy the road gets

I am young and gifted

I think that the worst way of domestic violence is emotional abuse because when you insult some one or say mean things that puts them down it lowers their self esteem and they start thinking they are what you call them and they feel bad about themselves. I probably have experienced domestic violence in some way like the name calling and putting eachother down and not just my boyfriend has done it i have also done a couple of things here and there but overall i still love him and i know without a doubt he loves me so we talk things out and apologize for what we've done and said to eachother. I can give advice to girls that go through really bad domestic violence like physical abuse to get out of it because one thing leads to another and they can end up dead or really hurt.
To whom it may concern,
My name is Milay Jimenez and I am a fascinated parent with music therapy. My favorite part of music time is when my baby tries to dance and he loves when he hears all the music he pays attention to what’s going on around him and I see that he enjoys it a lot when we clap and when he hears Noel sing and play all the instruments especially the guitar. I enjoy every part of music time as well because I know my son is getting something good out of it and it’s another way of bonding with my son so as much as I love it I know someone else will enjoy this as much as I do. I would definitely recommend this class to a friend because for what I’ve experienced so far I love it and so does my baby. My friends participate in music therapy with their kids too and I have seen that their kids have learned a lot as well and I would love for my son to continue participating in music therapy and having fun and learning at the same time.
Thank you for taking your time to read my letter Sincerely,
Milay Jimenez.

1. Read the quote from Thomas Jefferson on page 18 of your study guide. Why do you feel this promise was not kept by the U.S. government?
Thomas Jefferson promised to not take anything from the indians but Andrew Jackson took over the supreme court and allowed the georgians to take everything from the indians.

2. Give examples of how the Cherokees became acculturated to European culture, mostly by force.
The Cherokee tribe became acculturated to European culture by adopting to the U.S. government, becoming Christians, and sending their children to boarding schools. They also dressed like the whites, and learned to speak their language.

3. By 1932, how much of their original reservation lands had Indians lost? Describe how the Dawes Act caused much of this loss.
By 1932 Native Americans lost 90 million acres of their land which was 2/3 of the land that was reserved through laws. The Dawes Act caused much of the loss because Native Americans did not move to the allotments and the allotments were leased to non-indians, causing all the loss of land

4. Why did Chief Joseph and "Captain Jack" engage in battles with the U.S. Army?

The Nez Perce were asked to move to a reservation in 1855, and later on were asked to move again because of the discovery of gold. Chief Joseph resisted that removal and went into battle with federal troops. Captain Jack, went into battle because he led people back to their traditional lands. He requested a place to live in their homeland, but was denied by the U.S government. Captain Jack was in battle for several months and later was hung after being captured.

5. Why do you think constitutional rights guaranteed in the "Supremacy Clause" were not granted to the American Indians in their land disputes with white settlers?

Constitutional laws in the Supremacy Clause were not granted to the Native Americans in their land disputes because Andrew Jackson and the government took the land from them by force because they wanted to take over their resources.

6. If you were an American Indian ordered to move immediately to a place that was harsh and cold, and you did not have enough warm clothing or supplies (ex: the Trail of Tears), would you follow this order? What choices would you have?
If I was a Native American ordered to move immediately to a place that was harsh and cold i would'nt move i would try to do anything possible to stay and protect my son and my self but most importantly my baby because he is little and i know he would'nt have enough resistance with cold weather and I imagen no food either he would die so i would do anything to try and stay for my son to survive.
