1. What does it mean if an STD is asymptomatic?
-what its means is that the disease doesn't show any signs that the person is infected.
2.List 4 things that put teens at a higher risk of catching STDs.
-having unprotected sex
-having more than one sex partner
-having unprotected sex with someone who has had several sex partners
3.why do you think the rate of chlamydial infection in people who are 15 to 19 years old is higher than the rate in people who are 30 to 34 years old?
-i think its because at a young age us as teens like to try new things and one of those is to have sex and without even having any experience a lot of people just have sex with people they don't even know very well and they choose not to use protection and have sex without even knowing the risks they are taking.
and people who are 30 years and over usually have more experience than teens who are bearly experiencing the sex life and some of those people who are 30 years and older might think about it twice before doing anything that might put their life's in danger.
4,why do females catch STDs at a higher rate than males ?
-because to what i have read it says that because of the ecosystem of the vagina is warm and moist, bacteria and viruses have a higher chance to develop in the body. Also that if an infected girl has sex with a non infected boy he has 30 percent less chances of catching the bacteria and a girl has 90 percent chances more if she has unprotected sex with an infected boy.
5.list four things you can do, besides abstinence, to protect yourself from STDs.
-not have sex(something most of us really wont do) so to prevent getting an STD use protection with your partner(s).
-know what your doing and not be under the influence of any drug or alcohol that way you know what your doing.
-get tested regularly
-know who you are having sex with and getting your partner to get tested as well.
